HKUST Launches Healthy Longevity Study Recruiting Adults Aged 90 and Above | Five-year study focuses on Chinese seniors to uncover determinants of healthy longevity

The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology today announced the launch of a five-year research initiative, the HKUST Healthy Longevity Study, recruiting adults aged 90 and above. The study focuses on Chinese seniors to uncover biological, lifestyle and environmental determinants of healthy longevity.

Researchers in the Division of Life Science will combine biochemistry, molecular biology, human genetics and omics approaches to understand ageing in health and disease.

Findings are expected to inform public health strategies and biomedical innovation, in keeping with the School’s mission to promote science and technology that support the sustainable development of society.
