Career Pathway

From discovery to impact

Career advising, internships and an alumni network that spans research, industry, education and entrepreneurship.

Career services

The School works with the University’s career center to offer advising, employer talks and recruitment tailored to science majors — from research laboratories and data science teams to consulting, education and the public sector.

Internships

Undergraduate and postgraduate students take internships in biotechnology, chemical industry, finance, ocean technology and government laboratories. Interdisciplinary programs such as BIBU, RMBI and DASC are designed with these pathways in mind.

Alumni network

More than 23,000 School of Science graduates since 1991 form a global network. Many continue to postgraduate study at leading universities; others lead in industry, startups and public service.

Job board

Research assistantships, postgraduate openings and employer listings are circulated through academic units and the University career portal. Faculty mentors help students identify roles that match their scientific training.
